Department Conversations and Official Welcome
Hi Mom. Aside from the cringeworthy name games, trust exercises and painfully long games of ninja, orientation was been on the up. This morning was the "Department Conversations" in which the each major wound up in some kind of room (since Illustration has a lot of people we got to be spaced out in one of the auditoriums) and proceeded to talk about what we could expect for the next four years out of our major. Originally, I thought this would terrify me even more. But I wound up feeling really excited to start my classes and discover the kind of art I am capable of creating. Just by glancing at the student artwork that passed on the giant screen above the faculties' heads, I knew I'd chosen correctly - hopefully that feeling stays and grows positively as I continue on.
