Observation Drawing at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum

Hi Mom.  These are for you. Because the second I walked in, I thought, "Mom would love this. And she'd kill me if I didn't take photos...click click"  (This is the one I ended up drawing) Even after hearing my teacher tell us, "to avoid the 20s-30s cars if they intimidate us." Well it didn't intimidate me BEFORE you said that.  The final: It's not due till Monday but since my weekend will be occupied I've been busting out homework like a mad woman all week. Slightly terrified my teachers will assume me turning things in early will make them want to 'encourage me to spend more time on it'. Honestly I would have spent even less time on these things considering I would have procrastinated them. After that I went to Cutting Loose On Main Hair Salon (Sarasota) for my haircut. I went for the haircut, stayed for my complimentary shine/semi permanent toning. Even found out when I

The Book Room

Hi Mom. This is what I've spent the past countless hours working on. The deadline snuck up on me. So due tomorrow is our Drawing (Perspective) Class's 2pt Perspective Inventive Interior Assignment. This is probably the one I'm most happy with that I've done this semester. Granted, I had my moments of being overwhelmed and asking my past self, "WHY did you think it was a good idea to fill four walls with books. WHY." But once it's all said and done I like it. A new part to this assignment that we didn't have to do before was add value.  And you know me. I avoid value at all costs, mainly because I have no idea what shadows do aside from they appear on the back of an object when the light source is on the other side. That's all I know. None of this bleeding into other shadows, changing lengths, PERSPECTIVE of a shadow (which is a thing I know because we did it in class and it was awful). But I do feel like the different values definitely add

New Room!

Hi Mom. So last week I was pondering moving off campus for the Spring Semester because I was already feeling the drain of having 1/3 of a room and two other people on top of me. Surrounded by white tile on the floors and walls and an awful florescent light. Not to mention communal bathroom. I emailed Res Life asking what my Housing Contract entailed and if it would be possible to move off campus come Spring. That got shot down pretty quick and I was half expecting it would. By signing the housing contract I was obligated to live on campus for the entire school year. Bleh. But, Res Life did suggest I come and talk about my options of campus living since I'm older than the right out of high school freshmen. The option I chose was literally in the next building over on the 4th floor. It's a double (two person) room but has its own private bathroom. The minute he said, "private bathroom" I wanted to move. Then of course came the risks of a new roommate. My old roomm

Hi Mom. Today was hard to motivate myself to go workout. Mainly because my bestest friend, Emily (who is known from my Disney Birthday blog), gifted me the Dragon Age Inquisition Game of year Edition last night and I've been very much wanting to play it since class ended for the week. I will note she gifted me this awesome game (and all the DLCs and bundles included) because I've been mooching off of her Origin account for the past month since Bioware didn't release that DLC I was raving out for the older generation consoles (xbox 360 and ps3). Don't even get me started on that rant. And with me mooching off of her online account, any time she wanted to get on she couldn't since I was on. And since she's quite the non-confrontational sort, she decided to buy me my own instead of asking me to get my butt off her Origin account. ANYWAYS. I did manage to talk myself into going to work out because I very much want it to be a habit more than anything. Just l

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 10/2

Hi Mom. Only really doing this since I know I'll wish I had later. A more photo dedicated blog (my mom's) will have more pictures than I do: About a month ago, right after getting back from my Birthday Disney trip, I got an email from Ringling saying they were having a school trip to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on October 2nd. If I've learned anything from my Mom its that when you get the opportunity to go to Disney at somewhat of a discount (I hesitate to say discount at all since we literally only saved on sales tax) you GO. At that point one of my roommates had planned to go as well. Jump ahead to the week of the party and my roommate says she's going to sell her ticket. Which means I would not only be driving two hours by myself (I was planning on staying with family friends for the weekend in Orlando) but I also didn't know anyone else who was going. And it wasn't like I could make friends on the bus that
