The Book Room

Hi Mom. This is what I've spent the past countless hours working on. The deadline snuck up on me. So due tomorrow is our Drawing (Perspective) Class's 2pt Perspective Inventive Interior Assignment. This is probably the one I'm most happy with that I've done this semester. Granted, I had my moments of being overwhelmed and asking my past self, "WHY did you think it was a good idea to fill four walls with books. WHY." But once it's all said and done I like it. A new part to this assignment that we didn't have to do before was add value.  And you know me. I avoid value at all costs, mainly because I have no idea what shadows do aside from they appear on the back of an object when the light source is on the other side. That's all I know. None of this bleeding into other shadows, changing lengths, PERSPECTIVE of a shadow (which is a thing I know because we did it in class and it was awful). The Johns' Wedding

Hi Mom. FINALLY. My first adult wedding as an adult (my last one was when I was very very young and was the flower girl I have zero memory of that day). And man. I did not expect to be a wedding crier. But the moment they were both down the aisle and the vows started I was a goner. To be fair I'd been pretty emotionally compromised because I was beyond happy to be holding hands with my love while watching two of my favorite people, who I consider family, finally get to celebrate their love and lives with their friends and family. It was just really beautiful and I'm so lucky to have been invited. After a month of working out I do feel pretty good about my progress. While I haven't lost any weight I have lost some inches pretty much everywhere. Proof: I found this dress at Goodwill about 4 months ago specifically for the wedding and it was close to not fitting at that point (very tight) but it's Goodwill. Rough One

Hi Mom. Today started out really rough. At 12:09am Public Safety decided a Wednesday night was the best time to have a fire drill. I honestly would have rather there have been an actual fire than needlessly be woken up at midnight, tromped outside and stand around until told we could go back in. And I know it was a drill because they legit just walked to each room while the most annoying/terrifying alarm went off. No urgency, just inconvenience "let's test this alarm at fricking midnight". That's what really irks me. Really? MIDNIGHT? Not 10, when a lot of people will still be awake? Midnight. When most people have JUST fallen asleep and the mass population has an 8am class the next morning. Kinda pissed. After taking at least an hour to fall back asleep, I knew the day was only going to get worse because I woke up and it was pouring.
